The Accounting Manager plays an important role in overseeing the company's internal controls, compliance, US & international accounting, financial audits, tax responsibilities, and team leadership. The individual ensures the company's accounting operations are efficient, compliant with global standards, and align with the strategic objectives of the organization. What you will be doing: Manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development; drive employee engagement and productivity to retain a high-quality team Oversee and participate in an efficient month-end close process, ensuring adherence to close deadlines Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled promptly and consistently Prepare intercompany reconciliations and resolve variances on a timely basis Review financial results and balances and prepare variance analysis and resolution if needed Review journal entries prepared by less experienced accounting team members Provide support in the annual audit and tax process Support M&A integration efforts of the accounting function to onboard newly acquired companies into standardized accounting processes Develop desktop procedures across the accounting organization to enable better training and to reduce the risk for business interruption Continuously review and recommend improvements to financial processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance Ensure all accounting practices are in line with GAAP and company policies What type of skills are required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field CPA is preferred Minimum of 5 years' progressive accounting experience Experience with ERP system implementation (NetSuite preferred) a plus Tax, external audit, and cross-border accounting experience Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to speak up, share ideas, and drive change Why people love working here: We offer meaningful work and opportunities for career growth Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision) 100% Company paid Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, and Short-Term Disability coverage 401k with company match Paid vacation and general holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Live Meditation Sessions Employee Recognition Platform Virtual Wellness Program Hybrid Work Environment - and always will be Visionary Leadership Team Zonda exists to inform, advise, and connect the next generation of housing industry experts, leveraging the information, insights, and people that move the industry forward.
