A renowned manufacturer is offering an incredible opportunity for an exceptional and talented Tax Examiner at our Cleveland, OH location. Responsibilities: Gather and analyze general ledger data and operational information for processing federal and state taxes. Prepare and submit federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance and timely filing. Create and manage calculations for tax provisions, including current and deferred tax liabilities, for monthly and year-end procedures. Forecast and compute estimated payments for federal and state income taxes, while maintaining and reconciling tax accounts in the general ledger. Assist senior team members with state tax matters, including researching, documenting, and addressing state notices and audits. Conduct tax research and planning, providing valuable recommendations for optimizing tax positions and ensuring compliance. Complete special projects and assignments as assigned by tax managers or the tax director, contributing to various tax-related initiatives. Qualifications: Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data. Proficient in using tax software and general ledger systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Continuous learner who is passionate about expanding technical and industry knowledge. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience in tax compliance and accounting. Proficiency in tax software and financial systems. CPA certification is a plus.
