Summary This position is located in Office of Security & Integrity, Resource Management Division, Financial Management Branch. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as the Financial Operations Branch Chief overseeing the daily operations of the Branch. . Responsibilities Supervises the Financial Operations Branch whose primary focus is budget formulation and execution for the office. Directs tasks related to financial operations section and its various components of financial management, budget management and automation under the Federal Financial Management System (FFMS). Serves as authority in interpreting all related laws. regulations, policies, and budget directives. Develops employee performance standards. assigns and monitors work and evaluates individual and group performance. Develops, coordinates, and maintains an integrated system of financial services, including accounting, budgeting. management-financial reporting, auditing, credit analysis and management analysis. Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position. Qualifications The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/05/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/05/2024. ???????GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Performing internal financial reviews; Ensuring that financial management standards are understood and practiced; Applying the business, technical, and managerial aspects of financial management as a member of a team; Developing plans and resolve problems by providing organizational budget structure analysis.
