Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a company-wide risk management program, working to reduce risk exposure and mitigate risk.
  • Establish a working relationship with external service providers including insurance brokers, underwriters, attorneys, TPAs, and medical providers.
  • Oversee non-benefit company insurance claims.
  • Primary person in renewing and maintaining commercial insurance policies, including General Liability, Property, Auto, and Work Comp.
  • Work closely with Safety, Compliance, Operations, and Facilities to mitigate risk.
  • Coordinate with the TPA and others on claims. This would include internal (operations, subject matter experts) and external (legal, medical, accident reconstructionist, C & O) resources.
  • Work with both internal and external resources on M & A.
  • Periodically review external service providers - TPA, Insurance Broker, C & O, and Medical experts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of corporate risk management, particularly insurance policies and underwriting.
  • Excellent communication and working relationship skills with internal personnel and external resources/clients/customers/vendors.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Multiple years of risk management experience, preferably as a department of one.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
