Bartender - Olive + Oak

We are seeking an experienced, adventurous bartender to join the team at our James Beard Foundation award-nominated restaurant in Webster Groves.

Founded in 2016, Olive + Oak serves dinner 7 nights a week with menus that change daily. Led by Executive Chef Jesse Mendica, our kitchen produces menus that adapt with the seasons and feature the best of local and imported ingredients we can source. We consider our food to be refined but approachable, and our guests come to Olive + Oak to enjoy anything from a burger and a can of Busch to a coursed meal with oysters and ribeye steaks. Our beverage program reflects this same ethos, offering an extensive selection of house cocktails, wines by the glass + bottle, beer, as well as exciting non-alcoholic options.

We are first and foremost seeking a bartender with the personality, confidence, and maturity to provide exceptional hospitality to our guests. We are seeking applicants who enjoy engaging with the public, who possess charisma, humility, and the right amount of attitude to entertain as if they were hosting a party in their own home. Olive + Oak is fortunate to have a large local following, and our guests have grown accustomed to a level of hospitality that we will never compromise.

Naturally, we are also seeking applicants with great experience, who take pride in both their abilities in creating both classic and craft cocktails. We are also seeking candidates who possess exceptional knowledge of wine and spirits, and who are engaged with the trends in our industry. We are ideally seeking eager learners who wish to continue developing their expertise and honing their craft, and strongly believe we offer a fertile environment for doing so.

We are preferably seeking a full-time bartender capable of working 4 shifts per week. Weekend availability is strongly preferred. Typical shifts at Olive + Oak will begin between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., and will end between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Qualifications/Requirements
