This near-term opportunity is ideal for a self-starting, detail-oriented, technically and linguistically savvy individual with experience in submarine operations, Navy program and budget management, and DoD acquisition experience; specifically, as these relate to submarine fire control, sonar, and torpedo/missile weapons systems. You will provide direct support to Navy program leadership inside the Undersea Warfare Directorate with three key focus areas: 1) Oversee/support relevant program offices' Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) development, planning, integration, and fielding efforts; 2) Provide SME for the Directorate's Requirements Officers and leadership on SWFTS-related matters; and 3) Support the Directorate in its budget development and execution efforts as they relate to SWFTS components. A candidate must be highly proficient in consolidating inputs from multiple sources and program leadership into detailed, coherent products and documents used to inform senior Navy and DoD leaders as well as Congress. A candidate should have experience communicating and interfacing directly with senior leaders; leading efforts and tracking and completing multiple tasks simultaneously; working independently with little to no supervision; and providing objective, independent critical thinking.

Required Experience:
  • 10 years of DoD experience
  • 5+ years of operational submarine experience
  • 5+ years of DoD/Navy Program and/or Requirements Management experience
  • Top notch communication skills
  • SECRET clearance, eligible for TS clearance
Desired Experience:
  • Served submarine Department Head
  • Experience in a NAVSEA program office
  • Familiarity with OPNAV/IWS5/PMS425/PMS435 processes
