Summary:

Maintain the company's general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial records.
  • Reconciles bank accounts and verifies wire transfers and deposits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll, to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Assist with physical inventories in our warehouse and manufacturing areas.
  • Regular attendance and compliance with the Company's handbook policies and procedures.

Physical Demands:
  • Sit for long periods, viewing a computer screen and using a mouse and keyboard.
  • Walk primarily on level surfaces, with occasional use of stairs.
  • Pinch and grasp small objects.
  • Bend, stretch and reach.
Work Environment:

The majority of the time, this position works in a typical office setting. There will be times when this position is required to work inside our warehouse and manufacturing area of the building, which is considered our "secure area" of the building. When inside the warehouse and manufacturing areas, this position may be exposed to machinery, dust, and noise.

Individuals working in the "secure area" must follow the Company's Secure Area Dress Code and Security policies and procedures. All clothing must be free from metal, and no metal may be worn into the secure area of the building. Any metal inside or outside the body due to a medical condition must be visually inspected, or reasonable accommodations may be made.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule between the operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Potential opportunities to work a hybrid schedule.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Two or more years of experience working with financial auditors.
