Senior Permitting Specialist

Direct Hire; up to 110K + bonus

Downtown Houston

Duties:

  • Support well operations, drilling activities, and audit obligations
  • Interface with drilling, production, facilities, development, and planning personnel to identify site locations
  • Prepare, submit, and track regulatory paperwork
  • Order and track resource surveys
  • Collaborate in preparation of drilling schedule
  • Ensure all annual updates, renewals, and reports are submitted to state and local municipal entities
  • Review, summarize, and provide internal guidance regarding permit conditions of approval
  • Provide support and assistance to management and operations teams regarding required permitting actions, project status, and potential challenges; represent co. at on-site visits
  • Keep company informed of changes to permit requirements to ensure compliance
  • Inform drilling and production personnel of applicable regulations impacting activities
  • Maintain regulatory records and paperwork
  • Interact with state and federal government agencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in field OR comparable relevant experience
  • 5 years of relevant oil & gas experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fast-paced thriving environment; flexible, accommodating, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Team player, collaborative, and excellent communication and follow through
