In this role, you will: - Direct the daily activities of an airframe design team, under the guidance of the group lead - Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the primary and secondary structure and assembly - Design, develop, and finalize structural arrangements and layouts with systems interfaces - Develop structural design standard parts and fastener selection - Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations The successful candidate will have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. The candidate will have prior leadership experience and demonstrated success in aerospace product development. Palmdale, CA This position is in Marietta, GA Discover Marietta. aeroeng aeroairframe Basic Qualifications: - Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Bachelor's degree - More than 7 years' experience in aerospace vehicle development - Demonstrated leadership experience - CATIA V5, PLM tool usage, product configuration development and maintenance Desired Skills: - Experience across new product development and fielded product sustainment - Strong CATIA V5 skills - Good interpersonal skills and group leadership - Must be able to clearly represent technical issues to senior staff including trade study results and available solutions Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
