Job Description

The Budget Manager coordinates the planning, development, implementation of the division-wide budget process. The Budget Manager will coordinate the annual budget process including preparing the budgets in collaboration with field operation staff, training of operation staff and providing technical support as needed. The Budget Manager designs and implements the budget structure within the division, reporting, analysis and monitoring of budget information, and coordinating the budget interface with finance and accounting as necessary. In addition, the Budget Manager develops the budgets for new and expanded programs and maintains, analyzes, and summarizes all program and administrative budgets for the division.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Works with program managers and operations in creating operating and funding source
  • Organizes and maintains all program and administrative budgets including proposals and
  • Coordinates the budget interface with the accounting system to ensure
  • Develops budget forecast report, and work with program managers, and corporate fiscal staff on appropriate corrective
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

Requirements

Typical Requirements:

Five years' experience in financial or program experience required. Health care or human service experience preferred.

Preferred /Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required; Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.

Physical Effort:

Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer. Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed. Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand and move around the facility. Ability to speak, hear and communicate with clients, staff and external representatives. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
