Volunteer Assistant Essential Functions:
- Plan Gift of a Day events with attention to detail, individualization, and budget.
- Enter Gift of a Day events into the Crossroads Hospice database to ensure media coverage.
- Recruit volunteers to participate in the planning and execution of Gift of a Day events. Compile and manage a resource file with service providers and volunteers.
- Attempt to obtain donated goods and services for Gift of a Day.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- High school degree required.
- Direct experience in event planning, volunteer management, and recruitment required.
- Must be flexible and able to work some evenings and weekends.
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience with volunteer programs highly desirable.
- Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, and valid driver's license.
