About the Role:
The Family Support Coordinator at Akron Children's Hospital is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional support to families during their stay with us. This role requires a warm and welcoming demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming families to the Family Center and providing them with information about hospital resources and the local community.
- Registering authorized families into the respite area and ensuring all paperwork is complete for overnight guests and visitors.
- Providing concierge services to make the stay of patients and their families as comfortable as possible.
- Answering visitor questions and relaying accurate information on hospital policies and procedures.
- Assisting the Supervisor with department activities and volunteer management.
Requirements:
- Experience in customer service is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
