Job Overview

Position: Activity Program Manager

Company: Axess Family Services

Hours: Less than 20 hours/week

Compensation: $16/hour

SCHEDULE: Flexible scheduling based on needs, up to 20 hours per week, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

The Activity Program Manager will be responsible for organizing and executing recreational initiatives while assisting with administrative tasks.

  1. Facilitate the planning and execution of recreational and social events for participants within the designated service area.
  2. Act as an advocate for program participants.
  3. Encourage engagement and interaction among all participants.
  4. Familiarize oneself with emergency protocols during activities.
  5. Report any incidents, accidents, or health issues concerning participants promptly.
  6. Identify and provide volunteer opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to contribute to their community.
  7. Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and training requirements.
  8. Complete necessary training and certifications.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
  10. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, and maintaining records.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Ability to follow directions and work autonomously.
  2. Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. Strong organizational abilities.
  4. Must pass background checks.
  5. Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.
  6. Ability to comprehend and interpret procedures, manuals, and correspondence.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant regulations.
  8. Exhibit professionalism and courtesy when interacting with the public.
  9. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  10. Meet agency standards for background checks.
Education and Experience:

Minimum Educational Requirements: High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience Requirements: Experience in customer service, either through employment or volunteer work. Previous experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be capable of assisting participants with mobility in and out of vehicles.
