Accounting Associate Qualifications & Experience: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience. 2‐5 years of work experience with a private or public company. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) a plus. Must be self‐motivated, a multi‐tasker, and have the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Skills: Exemplary proficiency and excellence in accounting and auditing. Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (especially spreadsheet and word processing). Proficient in audit workpaper documentation utilizing audit software. Proficient with QuickBooks. Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines. Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak periods. Dependable and punctual. The ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to execute scheduled audits including planning, preparation, execution, reporting, and follow‐up. Develop audit scopes, including risk assessment and evaluation of internal controls. Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to establish and build rapport with clients. Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures, and methodologies. Developing & monitoring customized audit program. Planning and performing financial, performance, and compliance audits to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, and generally accepted governmental audit standards. Apply logic and critical thinking processes to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Prepare Audit & Executive Summary Reports. Assist in bookkeeping/write‐up and the preparation of individual and business tax returns for clients in various industries. Complete special projects and/ or ad‐hoc projects with minimal supervision and direction. Assist with general admin tasks (e.g., answering calls, filing, scanning, copying, running errands).
