**Preconstruction Sales Associate**

Job Summary:

The Preconstruction Sales Associate will have responsibility for all aspects of projects from the Bid invite, estimating costs to project hand off. We are looking for an individual with experience in the Commercial Construction Industry, Electrical experience a plus and we are open to training someone to estimate if they are knowledgeable in Commercial Construction and/or Commercial Electrical.

This position is not remote, it requires time in the office as well as in the field.

Job Duties:

* Find new bid opportunities and develop new customer relationships

* Estimate and bid projects

* Follow up on bid projects

* Purchase quoted materials for projects

* Build submittal packages

* Complete all front-end contract forms

* Create schedule of values

* Meet with Operation team to hand off projects

* Pricing of change orders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Understanding of commercial electrical projects

* Understanding of the bidding process

* Construction Industry Experience

* Strong mathematical and estimating skills

* Ability to read and interpret drawings

* Ability to engage customers, and subcontractors / vendors while building a rapport with each

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Outstanding organization and time management skills

* Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously without loss of accuracy or speed

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required; post- secondary education preferred

* Prior experience as an estimator or someone with experience in the field as a electrician or top helper, in a commercial electrical organization

* Sales experience

* Valid SC drivers license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

* Have reliable transportation

* Legally operate company vehicles

* Able to lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds and climb step ladders

* Must be able to use typical office equipment including, but not limited to, telephone, fax machine, copier and computer.

* Work indoors and outdoors
