Duties Requirements Qualifications All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this Accounting Technician position at the IC-05 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-04 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Entering numerical data and/or other data into an automated system. Reviewing program data for accuracy. Providing customer service support. OR 4 years education above high school OR Combination of education and experience. To qualify for this Accounting Technician position at the IC-06 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-05 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Reviewing accounts to ensure transactions are supported by documentation and processed according to established procedures. Validating data entered into accounts for accuracy. Using automated financial systems for intermediate financial functions. To qualify for this Accounting Technician position at the IC-07 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-06 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Reviewing financial and program data for accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established policies and procedures. Collecting data and making computations related to financial expenditures. Making recommendations for financial decisions.
