Staff Accountant (intermediate level)
Summary/Objective
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Job Functions
* Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
* Report to the Accounting Controller at ATSC-IES.
* Review records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts.
* Implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
* Process AP vouchers and credit card purchases.
* Assist as back-up to processing payroll.
* Process intercompany billings.
* Research and report account analysis.
* Complete general accounting processes and take action as necessary.

Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus three years of accounting experience.
Costpoint and government contractor experience preferred.
