Cruise Control Auto Transport is a leading and fast-growing company in the automotive transportation industry. We specialize in transporting vehicles safely and efficiently across the country. We are currently seeking a highly organized Transportation Manager to join our team and oversee the smooth operations of our transportation department. As a Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics of vehicle transport, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards in customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management and a passion for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, including scheduling and dispatching transport vehicles.
Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle transport, including documentation of customer information, vehicle details, and delivery routes.
Monitor and enforce compliance with transportation regulations, including DOT requirements and safety standards.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and consistent customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
Evaluate and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance, including DOT requirements.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Proficient in using transportation management software and other computer applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail.
