Requirements:

At least 1-2 years work experience specifically in a field technician role.

Primary Purpose:

Perform basic technical assignments in the recommendation, design, installation and support of new and existing desktop, hand-held and mobile computing equipment and software.

Major Responsibilities:

Installs personal computers, PDAs, printers, terminals, and any other desktop or mobile computing equipment or software.

Troubleshoots basic equipment, software and LAN problems to determine a viable solution, under direction of Data Network Specialist or Data Network Specialist Senior.

Performs general tasks to aid in the ongoing support of the IT environment. Performs routine equipment and software upgrades.

Lifts, carries and/or pushes/pulls various items (bags, boxes, carts, etc.) while utilizing proper technique.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Knowledge of operating systems platforms

Knowledge of installation and support of IT computing equipment and software.

Technically competent with various word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, e-mail and other desktop software packages.

Excellent organizational skills showing the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Strong interpersonal and customer support skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must be able to bend, twist, kneel and crawl to install and service equipment. Must be able to work in tight quarters

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs at waist height a reasonable distance.

Must be able to: push/pull with 10 lbs of force.

Work environment may contain dust, dirt and noise.

May be exposed to patient care areas; therefore, personal protective equipment will be worn as necessary.

Position requires some travel.

Valid drivers license required and use of a vehicle during work hours for site travel and equipment transport.
