Main responsibilities:
Advance our credit granting processes for new and existing customers, from risk models to financial valuations models to determining appropriate product terms and limits
With our data science team, continue to push the boundaries of credit risk modeling and underwriting in Latin America
Build a resilient credit portfolio and the tools and processes to deeply understand performance levels and performance trends
Deepen our understanding of how our customers use credit so that we can serve them better and enhance repayment rates
Build, launch, and grow innovative new financial services products to better serve our underserved target market
Lead and develop a world class analyst team from hands-on development of core analytics skills to advanced problem solving
Build trusting relationships across the organization including product, engineering, finance, and operations teams
Build appropriate credit governance to ensure our resilience to changing market conditions and to meet the expectations of external stakeholders
What we are looking for:
Master's Degree or higher in the sciences, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other analytical and quantitative discipline.
7+ years in deep consumer credit granting roles including data analysis, credit analysis, and/or modeling areas.
Proven ability to grow a resilient consumer credit portfolio.
Extensive knowledge of credit risk modeling.
Extensive knowledge of different methodologies and technologies in machine learning modeling.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis.
SQL, Python, and AWS skills
Ability to champion organizational agenda and initiatives with executive audiences. Integrate/connect team initiatives, actions and culture in support of broader vision and credit risk management goals.
