JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Program Leadership:Lead and oversee multiple from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, requirements, and quality standards.
* Technical Expertise:Utilize your understanding of engineering principles and drone technology to support and manage engineering project teams.
* Government Contract Management:Manage all aspects of government contracts, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with regulatory requirements and deliverables.
* Proposal Development:Support the business development team in the creation of proposals for government contracts, leveraging your technical expertise and industry knowledge to help craft compelling and competitive bids.
* Team Development:Build and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Customer Engagement:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the public and private sector, understanding their needs and requirements, and ensuring that deliverables exceed expectations.
* Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum and minimize disruptions.
* Strategic Planning:Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term project roadmaps and business strategies aligned with company goals - developing and transitioning projects out of R&D and into production.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s or Master's degree in Aero/Mechanical/Electrical/Software, or related field preferred.
* 10-15 years of progressive experience in aerospace/defense, with a proven track record in project management and government contract management.
* Proficiency in UAS/drone technology, with hands-on experience in leading design, development, and testing.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing government contracts, understanding regulatory requirements, and ensuring all documentation and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
