Daily Responsibilities: Insight Global's client is looking for a Custom Furniture Engineering Lead. This role involves managing a team of talented CAD project engineers and overseeing daily operations for a growing custom furniture enterprise. The Engineering Lead will be tasked with recruiting, training, and developing team members while monitoring performance to ensure project timelines are adhered to. This position requires a hands-on approach, necessitating prior experience in panel processing, CNC operations, and CAD programming.

Leadership Duties:

  • Conducts interviews, hires, and trains new personnel.
  • Manages the daily workflow within the department.
  • Provides timely and constructive feedback to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates various engineering functions, including quality assurance, testing, production, and R&D for new and existing product lines.
  • Ensures effective communication between internal clients and engineers, clarifying specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Acts as project manager for multiple initiatives, developing timelines and cost estimates, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring compliance with specifications and budgets.
  • Reviews projects for technical accuracy.
  • Implements and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepares and manages the departmental budget.
  • Negotiates contracts with external vendors.
  • Stays informed about new trends, technologies, materials, and best practices to enhance product lines and production efficiency.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
