Our client, a large telecommunications company in Philadelphia, is looking for a Production Engineer for a full-time contract at their 500-person event space. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations across all production elements. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining and optimizing production equipment, managing backend infrastructure, and overseeing the functionality of the control room. Additionally, you'll provide essential support to various production verticals, including camera, lighting, and audio/visual, to guarantee the highest quality output for every event. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail to uphold the standard of excellence that their venue is known for.

This is a full-time contract and requires 4-days/week onsite in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Oversee backend infrastructure, including network systems and power distribution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot control room operations, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to production teams across camera, lighting, and audio/visual departments.
  • Collaborate with event organizers to understand their technical requirements and execute accordingly.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and equipment failure.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve production processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in live event production, with a focus on technical operations.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production equipment, including cameras, lighting fixtures, and audio systems.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and event organizers.
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure precision in all aspects of production.
