Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Review and complete the monthly closing checklist associated with recurring entries and required periodic account reconciliations

Review bank activity and compile daily cash report for management

Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and divisional income statements for reporting to management

Manage schedules for monthly payments on capital leases and debt

Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Perform analysis of accounts receivable including state of collection process for each division

Support accounts payable with coding associated with credit card payment programs

Survey and organize various financial data and report it in a useful and understandable manner through procedural documentation

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Handle special projects and impromptu reporting upon request

Perform all other duties assigned to this role

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in CALEDONIA, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Small office environment within construction/mechanical contractor. Smaller accounting and finance department offers endless growth opportunities, with potential to move into managerial roles.
