Description/Job Summary The Account Manager manages a portfolio of small and medium-sized client accounts. These client accounts represent companies, universities, and other types of organizations that have previously purchased products and/or services from Berkshire. The Account Manager is responsible for basic account management tasks such as prospecting within the account, maintaining the contact and communications information within the CRM, and executing an assigned set of activities to achieve the annual goal. The Account Manager is also responsible for preserving and eventually expanding our business relationship with each account within their portfolio. This includes but is not limited to securing repeat business, cross-selling, and up-selling additional products and services based on current client needs. On occasion, the Account Manager is responsible for pursuing small new business leads and converting these leads into new clients. Responsibilities/Duties

1.Manages a designated portfolio of small and medium-sized client accounts that have previously purchased products and/or services from Berkshire

2.Proactively communicates with all assigned clients regularly via phone and email to develop and maintain business relationships, assess their current business condition, uncover needs, and provide the right product and/or service solutions 3.Achieves sales revenue goals from assigned accounts through repeat business, cross-selling, and up-selling, and to a smaller extent converting new business deals 4.Crafts proposals and creates and delivers sales presentations to clients and prospects, via the web or in-person sales meetings 5.Develops the knowledge and skills to explain the value of all Berkshire products and services independently and professionally 6.Manages contract negotiations and redlining process to bring the sale to a mutually successful close

Required Skills 1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, required 2.Working knowledge of general computer and office equipment operation required 3.Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software required; experience with Salesforce preferred 4.Casual knowledge of basic human resources principles and regulations preferred 5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent phone etiquette required 6.Demonstrated time management and organization skills required 7.Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service required 8.Demonstrated ability to independently perform in a consultative selling environment required 9.Demonstrated proactive approach to selling required 10.Ability to communicate with tact and discretion required 11.Ability to work under limited supervision required 12.Ability to negotiate on the company’s behalf required Required Experience 1-2 years of sales or related experience required Preferred Experience 1.Sales experience within the professional services industry preferred. Required Education Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Years of relevant work experience may substitute for education requirements. Required Qualifications
