ABOUT AC DEVELOPMENT
AC Development is the real estate investment and development arm of the Coors Family. Based in Golden, Colorado, the company was created to redevelop the historic CoorsTek manufacturing facility in downtown Golden into a dynamic five-block mixed-use district known as Clayworks (www.clayworksgolden.com). AC Development is dedicated to deeply sustainable, mixed-use, exceptional placemaking urban development. The first phase of Clayworks includes a new global HQ for CoorsTek, adaptive reuse of historic industrial buildings, new plazas and street segments, and extensive infrastructure. AC Development intends to develop and own the entire project indefinitely.
SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced development accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all corporate and real estate development accounting and reporting activities. The role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in the real estate development industry. The ideal candidate is excited by the prospect of joining a small, but growing company that is part of a large, well-capitalized, and established family of companies.
Role & Responsibilities :
Oversee and administer all accounting and financial reporting for projects under development/construction, including cash management, accounts payable, fixed assets and all job cost monitoring.
Ensure that financial results are accurately consolidated in accordance with GAAP following Company policies and reported timely to management.
Support the month-end close and reporting for all corporate entities.
Monitor and reconcile cash flows, investment transactions, and other financial activities.
Assist with the preparation of financials for tax return, K-1 filings, and annual corporate and SPE financial reviews (and audits if required).
Lead and oversee monthly job cost budget meetings to ensure successful cost management of all development projects.
Assist in the development of financial reporting packages. This includes establishing a regular cadence of internal reporting and ensuring that external debt and liquidity compliance reporting deadlines are met.
Prepare monthly equity/loan draw submittals.
Oversee and process Accounts Payable, ensuring correct payments are made in a timely manner.
Provide guidance in the establishment of, and compliance with, GC Contracts and Loan Agreements.
Review Treasury request forms and posting of wire activity, and work within the on-line banking systems to administer/release wires and to direct other banking activities.
Oversee vendor management, including obtaining W-9s and sending 1099s.
Work with outside Property Management company to incorporate financial results into Company financials.
Oversee the forecasting and management of Real Estate Tax payments and Personal Property and Use taxes.
Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
BS or BA in Accounting Preferred
5+ years of full-time experience in Real Estate, JV Accounting, and/or a related field
CPA Preferred
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software, experience with Yardi highly preferred.
Excellent understanding of the general ledger, balance sheet and income statement financial reports.
Proficient in producing/reviewing Excel spreadsheets, general ledger reconciliations and has actively contributed to financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills and ability to apply effectively to practical solutions.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to anticipate problems and manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of the company.

Golden, CO, local candidates preferred (relocation not provided).
