**BluePearl Pet Hospital in Charlestown, MA** **is seeking a dedicated Veterinary part-time Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team**

**Schedule:** Day shift 2-3 week days during Mon-Thurs (flexible)

**Pay:** $19.50 - $27.00 / hour

**This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system** .

We are seeking a Sterile Supply Assistant with a self-motivated, positive attitude to add to our surgical team. This person should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

**As a Veterinary Sterile Supply Assistant, you will:**

+ Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.

+ Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service tosubmitfor repair or replacement.

+ Maintainingappropriate quantitiesof surgical supplies and equipment.

+ Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room,and equipment according to established procedures.

+ Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs

+ Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.

Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
