We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Support Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $27.00 - $38.28 per hour, depending on experience. Job Responsibilities

As a Surgical Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies.
  • Handing required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgery.
  • Assisting with patient preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping.
  • Maintaining instruments in an organized manner and tracking their counts throughout procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid BLS Provider certification within one month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • A Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • A high school diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
