Opportunity Overview
Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Transportation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and reliably transporting frail, nursing home eligible seniors to the PACE center, medical appointments, and offsite activities. Your contribution is crucial in supporting participants' care plans and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Transport participants to and from the center, offsite activities, and appointments.
Collaborate with the transportation coordinator and IDT to monitor participants' physical and psycho-social status.
Ensure participant safety during vehicle entry, travel, and exit.
Maintain vehicle and equipment quality through regular maintenance.
Perform pre-inspections on assigned vehicles, reporting any defects to the transportation coordinator.
Assist center staff during downtime by escorting participants, cleaning, and supporting activities.
Schedule and Location Details:
Full-time role with a 40-hour workweek; on-call schedule may be assigned.
Location: Los Angeles, California
Onsite work required 5 days a week.
Qualifications
High School/GED
2+ years of experience transporting elderly participants and operating wheelchair lifts.
Required licenses/certifications: Car Insurance, Class B driver's license in California (CA), Clean Driving Record.
Preferred experience in non-emergency or public transportation.
Preferred: Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
