Position Summary:
This role involves providing essential transportation services for individuals with mental health challenges in an outpatient setting. The position is designed to support clients in accessing necessary programs and services.
Schedule:
This position typically operates Monday through Friday, with standard hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate varying needs.
Responsibilities:
As a Client Transportation Specialist, your duties will include:
- Conducting daily inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Monitoring fuel levels and maintaining accurate mileage logs.
- Coordinating transportation for clients to various appointments and community activities.
- Assisting clients in safely entering and exiting vehicles.
- Evaluating client readiness for travel and coordinating with staff for appropriate support.
- Ensuring all clients are accounted for during transport.
- Planning and executing community outings for clients.
- Assisting with meal preparation and cleanup during day programs.
- Running errands between company locations as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma and two years of relevant experience working with individuals with mental health or disabilities.
- A valid California Class B driver's license with a Passenger Endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Current certifications in CPR and First Aid (assistance available if needed).
- Good physical and mental health, verified through recent health screenings.
- A clean criminal background check.
- Personal attributes such as warmth, enthusiasm, and respect for others.
- Preferred: Current De-escalation Training certification.
This position is vital in ensuring that clients receive the support they need in a compassionate and efficient manner.
