Responsibilities

  • Design/Specify weld fixtures, tools and machines used to manufacture products.
  • Review production equipment, hardware, and tooling; make recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Oversee the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
  • Install new equipment and ensure that it operates correctly; train others to operate new machinery.
  • Update equipment when product design changes are implemented.
  • Review changes and product improvements with customers
  • Prepare operations manuals for new or existing equipment.
  • Work with engineering and quality to certify tools and equipment meet engineering and FMVSS specifications.
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) or related field required.
  • Three to five years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficient with 2d and 3d solid CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Knowledge of robotic weld fixture design
