Fund Accounting Manager, Private Equity Our Client (an investment firm) is seeking a talented Fund Accounting Manager, Private Equity to join their team. Responsibilities - Accounting: Perform quarterly and annual closing procedures for all funds, including NAV package review. Handle capital calls, distributions (including carried interest waterfalls), and requests for information. Maintain accounting and legal records. Oversee performance reporting, IRR calculations, and incentive calculations. Collaborate with administrators to address accounting questions and issues. Support interim and annual audits. Manage the in-house accounting system. Additional Exposure/Tasks: Private valuations. Annual and other compliance filings. Fund/SPV formation. Tax compliance. Special projects related to overall firm operations. General Qualifications: Desire to positively contribute to the team's long-term success. Highest professional and ethical standards. Curiosity and a commitment to understanding complex issues thoroughly. Self-motivation and proactive problem-solving. Energy, enthusiasm, and open communication. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Accounting Skills and Experience: Undergraduate/graduate degree in accounting. 4-7 years' experience in private equity or venture capital. CPA license or path to CPA desired (but not required). Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Investran experience is a plus (though not required). Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $120K - $160K per year.
