Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and education to ensure competency and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate resident care and treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, social workers, and therapists.
- Conduct assessments of residents' health status and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and make adjustments as needed to promote positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to nursing practice and resident care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance resident care and safety.
- Current, valid license or certification in California as an LVN
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the underserved population
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care or recuperative care facility
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
