Description

This LVN / Triage Desk opportunity will be working in a busy oncologist's office and with a strong team of professionals. This role is critical in providing patient care coordination and clinic support. Performs triage of patient inquiries and coordinates appropriate resolution and follow-up.

Some of the Staff LVN responsibilities include,
  • Ensures collection of all information necessary for new patient assessment and schedules new patient clinic visits.
  • Triages and prioritizes patient needs both on the telephone and in the clinic. Initiates follow-up with the appropriate source(s).
  • Provides clinical data to ensure proper authorizations are obtained to assure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Coordinates patient care for Physician and ensures time appropriate follow-up.
  • Assists in the education of patient and family on disease process and addresses their individual needs and concerns.
Qualifications
  • Current LVN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Clinic Operations experience required.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills necessary.
