Clinical Lead

This position requires a skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide leadership and direction to Medical Assistants in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing care plans and physicians' orders, and will be able to work cooperatively as a team member to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direction and leadership to Medical Assistants in the clinic
- Assess patient conditions and document vital signs, chief complaints, and other relevant information
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, casting, and suturing
- Coordinate care activities, including chronic care management and transitional care management services
- Expedites the flow of authorization requests through the Managed Care System
- Administer medication and note time and amount in patient charts
- Dress wounds, apply compresses, and use equipment such as catheters and oxygen suppliers
- Collect and perform routine laboratory tests on patient samples
- Maintain cleanliness of facility, exam rooms, and instrumentation
- Order supplies per clinical standards
- Document all incidents according to mandated rules and regulations
- CERT
- LVN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS
