Responsibilities within the financial reporting process include performing month-end close procedures, financial statement preparation and analysis, reconciliation of accounts, external audit coordination and GAAP implementations and research.

Job Specific Responsibilities:
Exercising accounting control over a group of general ledger accounts
Recording, analyzing and interpreting financial transactions and communicating results to management
Reconciling general ledger account balances
Creating financial statements or other reports in conformity with GAAP or other regulatory standards
Researching technical accounting issues and assisting in new standard implementations
Assisting in coordination of external audit
Serving as a subject matter expert on projects which require specialized accounting knowledge, research, and application of assigned areas
Making recommendations to management for problem resolution
Using various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting or closely related equivalent required.
Two to four years of related accounting work experience preferred.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
GAAP research experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills are required.
