Key job responsibilities Creating financial models and plans, interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. Building effective business partnerships and using active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis inclusive of proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics. Implementing solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize and scale processes. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science). 3+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). MBA and/or Professional certification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or CPA). Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms to results.
