**The ideal candidate is someone with a strong order entry and quoting background, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting. We want someone who excels technically - someone who is numbers oriented, adept at reading blueprints, can convert units and focuses on details.**

We are a manufacturer of safety products installed on truck and trailer bodies and we are seeking a Customer Service Representative with an Inside Sales mindset. The expectations of this role will include extensive phone and computer interaction with both prospects and customers, perfecting and delivering sales quotes and orders, supporting Management and Outside Sales Representatives, and actively interacting with the company's Production department to assure your product is manufactured and delivered on time and exceeds our customers expectations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Uses our **ERP/MRP** system (Syteline) to be the primary point of contact for customers, interpreting and implementing customer instructions for the company to produce custom manufacturing products

* Prepares and sends **highly technical quotes that involve detailed measurements** and provides written proposals to customers and potential customers

* Accurately and quickly updates customer records in various systems

* Tracks shipment status of customer orders in various **contracted shipping systems**

* Accurately and professionally gathers and enters new customer information into the **ERP** and **Salesforce CRM**

* Send literature via **Outlook** and then follow up on potential customer's requests

* Handles customer special price requests and special design requests

* Issues credits, sends order acknowledgements and composes letters to customers and potential customers

* Maintains record of order activity tracking for larger accounts when required

* Interfaces with Territory Managers, Director of Sales and VP of Sales

* Other duties as assigned

**Education, Experience and Qualifications:**

* Must be computer savvy and must be accurate with numbers and measurements

* Must have familiarity with units, technical drawings, conversions

* Must have manufacturing or technical experience

* Spanish fluency is a plus

* Knowledge of order entry and ERP quoting programs

* Previous customer service experience

* Must be proficient working with Word, Excel and Outlook

**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:**

* Must be a fast learner with a can-do attitude

* Must be able to work independently with little supervision

* Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English plus have adequate hearing and visual acuity.

* Working environment is in an air-conditioned cubical with occasionally physically going into an unheated/air conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting.

* Safety glasses with side shields are required in the production area.

* Must be able to sit for long periods while communicating on the telephone and entering data on computer.

* Frequent reaching, gripping, and carrying up to 50Ibs, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting and walking in addition to being seated a good portion of the day.

* Good communication skills are required in addition to understanding verbal and written instruction. Must handle multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast paced work environment.
