Sage Home Loans Corporation is seeking a
Senior Mortgage Loan Processor
to join our rapidly growing Mortgage business. Sage provides an unparalleled digital experience combined with human interaction to make a seamless and easy mortgage loan process for our customers. In this role, you will play an integral part in the loan process from pre-approval to closing.
What You'll Do:
Accurately package a pipeline of loans that are funneled to you by our team of Mortgage Loan Originators and ensure timely and proactive communication with the borrowers.
Handle all loan documentation and meeting deadlines.
Determine creditworthiness of the borrowers by gathering and calculating necessary credit reports, qualifying ratios, income and expense data, employment documentation and property values.
Responsible for processing of more complex loans such as Self-Employed, Government, Bond, CEMA, DPA’s, etc.
Establish strong upfront relationships with the borrower and work closely with them throughout the loan origination process.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues in the origination process.
Provide feedback to the management team on technical and operational improvements and present alternative operating models to enhance conversion.
Verify and analyze all necessary financial information and documentation from pre-approval to closing; ensure loan files are complete and accurate with all necessary credit and legal documents to satisfy underwriting conditions.
Work collaboratively with internal and external teams throughout the loan process.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years previous experience actively managing a pipeline of loans
Deep understanding of the mortgage loan process and types of loans available
Experience processing FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and Jumbo residential mortgages
Thorough knowledge of conventional and government underwriting product guidelines
Ability to process test cases to gain underwriting signing authority for clearing of low-mid level conditions
Proactive and engaging communication with an ability to thoughtfully guide borrowers through the loan process.
Highly organized and have the ability to solve problems autonomously
