As a Junior Mortgage Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in generating new mortgage loan opportunities for our financial institution. Under the guidance of an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer, you will collaborate with real estate professionals, builders, and previous clients to expand our client base.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively seek business from both potential and existing clients.
- Conduct interviews with loan applicants and manage the loan application process for purchasing and refinancing.
- Assist the Mortgage Loan Officer in advising borrowers on various loan options.
- Support the loan processing team in collecting necessary documentation for underwriting.
- Work in tandem with processors and underwriters to resolve any outstanding issues.
In this role, you will manage a diverse pipeline of loans, ensuring compliance with closing deadlines and the bank's operational standards. You will also foster a professional environment and represent our institution in community engagements.
Who You AreThe ideal candidate will gain comprehensive knowledge of loan programs and associated costs through structured training provided by the mentoring Mortgage Loan Officer and our internal training modules. Your training will focus on understanding FHA, VA, portfolio, and conventional underwriting guidelines.
Essential qualifications include:
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work autonomously under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a strong adherence to established guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable attendance and a collaborative spirit.
