Consistent with our Accounting Advisory practice's growth goals, an opportunity has been created for a Senior Manager to serve as a catalyst for continued expansion as a member of our nationally distributed team that will have the flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity in multiple office locations throughout our footprint (or possibly remote for the right resource) with travel for specific projects as needed. If you are an accounting professional fascinated by process improvement and the opportunity to tinker with operations, processes, and systems, marshalling your creativity to prove that 'good' simply isn't good enough - let's chat As a Senior Manager, you will: Be responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver consulting services to multiple client relationships as they navigate improvement opportunities and implement solutions to create value within their organization. Participate in all stages of various consulting engagements and provide assistance with planning, fieldwork, engagement wrap up, and deliverable composition, with additional responsibilities including: Identifying client needs and fostering strong relationships through business development efforts Developing team members through constructive and actionable feedback Leading internal firm initiatives and identifying areas for improvements Managing project resources, budgets, billing, and collections Preparing and/or presenting thought leadership through complex written and verbal materials Your passion for excellent client service will be demonstrated through the diligent assessment of the 'current state' of our client’s Corporate Accounting and Finance departments to help transition to their desired 'future state,' which can include digitizing or automating accounting workflows, optimizing processes, and providing specific and custom solutions to improve outputs. These value-added services will be focused on functional areas including: Process and Cost Improvement Initiatives Strategy & Organizational Design for Accounting processes that can include: Policy Development & Execution Process Design Post-Acquisition Accounting Integration Accounting Department Assessment including efficiency optimization, metric benchmarking & business cycle reviews Fractional CFO and co-sourced accounting functions to execute accounting and FP&A responsibilities Business Process Transformation including: Process Workflow & Documentation Buildout Strategic Road Mapping and execution on company-led strategy that could include ESG readiness and reporting compliance, or other transformative initiatives What you bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CPA license (strongly preferred) Seven (7) or more years of experience within a public accounting firm and / or industry environment performing audit, accounting, or consulting services; ability to develop and implement strategies to transform accounting processes and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy Demonstrated experience with business development/expansion of services within existing or new clientele Experience in an environment with SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday, Yardi, or Quickbooks Ability to lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize process improvements, system enhancements, and automation opportunities Experience conducting process mapping and analysis to identify areas for improvement and streamline workflows Strong organizational skills demonstrated through the management of multiple, concurrently running initiatives and experience planning and leading projects from start to finish Robust written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels both within the client organization and the firm Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with a focus on details and accuracy Travel as needed for firm meetings and client site visits up to 25% What we offer you: Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures About Cherry Bekaert Cherry Bekaert, ranked among the largest assurance, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., serves clients across industries in all 50 U.S. states and internationally. “Cherry Bekaert” is the brand name under which Cherry Bekaert LLP and Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC, independently owned entities, provide professional services in an alternative practice structure in accordance with applicable professional standards. We offer competitive compensation packages based on performance that recognize the value our people bring to our clients and our Firm. The salary range for this position is $115,425 to $250,300. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
