We are looking for qualified individuals currently residing in Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Ohio.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible to execute strategies aligned with the overall business needs. They will plan, coordinate, and direct the functions of the HR department including administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practice. This role serves as a link between the company’s leadership and employees and fosters healthy workplace practices.
Qualified candidates will enjoy working with a team, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be well organized, flexible, patient, compassionate, and dependable. They will be highly motivated, naturally take initiative, be willing to learn, remain curious, and look to make a larger, positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the daily workflow of the department
Maintain and maximize use of the HRIS platform
Collaborate with the talent acquisition team during onboarding
Conduct new hire orientation sessions
Provide support and guidance to key stakeholders when complex and specialized questions and issues arise
Conduct audits associated with the payroll process
Oversee the performance management life cycle process including building performance tools in the HR database
Serve as the point of contact and maintain documentation for all types of leave administration
Maintain employee records
Serve as the point of contact for benefits and compensation administration
Manage worker’s compensation and unemployment claims including required documentation and communication internally and externally
Administer and execute tasks associated with conducting investigations, administering disciplinary action, and completing terminations
Gather HR data and prepare reporting
Maintain knowledge of and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations; regular policy and practice review to make recommendations and maintain compliance
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
SHRM – CP or SHRM- SCP highly desired
A minimum of 3 years multi-site HR experience
Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Must be detail oriented
Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the team across the organization
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Must have knowledge of MacOS and be comfortable operating in a primarily Mac OS environment
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and other technology platforms
Basic & Physical Requirements
Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk
