**Position responsibilities include:**

* Ships product into the Allentown Distribution Center by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet or by hand.

* Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.

* Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.

* Operates a reach truck and/or order picker equipment in a safe and efficient manner to put away, pick,move, locate, stack checked in products to correct storage locations on a daily basis. This includes stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed; monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock area; and monitoring "Pull Tickets" and giving priority to Shipping department requests.

* Operates a reach truck and/or order picker in a safe and efficient manner to pick and process store orders on a daily basis.

* Fills store orders by picking orders according to section number, packing items into cartons and stacking them in a manner that minimizes shipping damage, entering items into scan gun, and completing necessary paperwork.

* Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers.

* Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards, and follows department standard operating procedures.

* Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.

**Position qualifications:**

* Previous forklift experience.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

* Ability to organize and prioritize work.

* Ability to attend to details.

* Ability to get along with others in the workplace.

* Ability to complete routine paperwork.
