This position leads the Electrical Power Engineering efforts for WM customers primarily in the Electric Utility market but will also contribute engineering and project management support to the Winslow, ME manufacturing facility for simultaneous execution of multiple projects.Responsibilities include:Engineering and design lead from project conception through executionDevelop customer specific construction specificationsDevelop conceptual P&C one-linesDevelop detailed P&C one-lines and three-linesDevelop detailed P&C schematics and wiring diagramsApply NEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO, NERC, OSHA and other organization's regulations and standards in the provided designs and installationsWork on the detailed design for Industrial and Utility low, medium and high voltage generation and distribution electrical systemsProvide control enclosure manufacturing support and designs such as station electrical service, lighting, cable-tray, AC load center, DC load centers, battery sizing and other facility design requirementsEngineering, Project Management, and Construction detailed cost estimatingDevelop detailed proposals for contract engineering opportunitiesDevelop detailed proposals for Owner's Engineer, Project Management, Construction Management, and Project Controls opportunitiesLead junior staff and engineering and design effortsCommunicate effectively with WM clients and personnel from Technicians to Senior ManagementOther Responsibilities include:Interprets policies and procedures and ensures they are followed within the business unitResponsible for ensuring budgets of assigned projects are met for the business unitThe position is also responsible for managing major proposal development (when assigned)Responsible for the update or review of red-line field drawings during the project processAble to troubleshoot 480VAC and MV distribution and motor control equipmentAble to troubleshoot 125VDC distribution equipmentAble to program and test various microelectronic relays (preferred but not required)Marketing Responsibilities: Identify sales opportunities, confidence to suggest scope changes with justifications, ability to network across targeted industries and assist with sales quotation developmentRequirements:Education - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required.Experience - 10+ years of Electrical T&D and/or P&C Engineering experience is required. Significant experience in Project Management and Construction Management is preferred. Registered PE in Electrical Power or ability to become licensed is desired.Skills - Strong computing skills, such as, MS Project, Word, Excel, PPT, etc. Proficient in AutoCad. Knowledge of electrical design software, such as, Aspen, SKM, ETAP, PLS-CADD, etc. is preferred.Physical Demands of PositionSeeing, color perception, hearing, listening, clear speech, dexterity in hands. Ability to perform the minimum requirements and meet deadlines as required.Working ConditionsHybrid mix of standard office environment and work-from-home: frequent use of personal computer, facsimiles, copy machines, and other office equipment.
