Supply Chain Compliance Manager

Our client, a renowned Retail Brand, is seeking a Supply Chain Compliance Manager to help support their staff in Miami, FL
Summary
The company is looking for high-energy, results-oriented supply chain professional to assume responsibility for supply chain activities and daily business activities related to company goals. S/he will be involved in all phases of the supply chain requiring the skills necessary to ensure Compliance and Performance/Function of factories and products. Monitor contracts and/or supplier agreements while managing service and delivery at optimal levels.
We are looking for the following highly developed skills:
Understanding of U.S. Government/ U.S. Retailer Product and Social Compliance and how to implement programs with overseas suppliers.
Understanding of quality systems and processes.
Experience in navigating U.S. Retailer Mass Merchant compliance programs/systems.
Experience in Asia/India and a high level of cultural sensitivity.
Analytical, data driven approach with a high level of attention to details.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Sporting goods industry category expertise.
Knowledge of CE/UKCA certification processes a plus.
Must be a self-starter and able to operate independently.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and pursue clarification with urgency.
Ability to troubleshoot proactively if possible; at minimum effectively the Compliance and Product Testing activities and the relationship of these activities to other departments within the company.
Ability to communicate effectively across departments within the company and influence without authority as needed to achieve results.
Detail oriented with the ability to manage conflicting priorities; we are a fast-moving organization where high achieving; self-directed individuals thrive.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field of study such as supply chain, operations, or business.
Related Work Experience
At least 3 5 years of demonstrable import/supply chain sporting goods industry management experience.
Function Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Detail Oriented with high level of organizational skills.
Supplier/Vendor Agreements/Contracts: Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts.
