Day to day:

Insight Global is seeking a Patient and Physician Services Specialist local to Minneapolis, MN to join the team of one of our local medical device clients. The purpose of this role is to create life-long loyal patients by providing excellent service directly to patients, health care professionals (HCPs), and employees. You will interact daily with patients, internal employees, HCPs regarding device function, MRI compatibility, and remote questions. These interactions occur mostly via telephone, but may also include email, text, chat, mail, fax, and in-person. Follow-up communications and research is often necessary to effectively assist in fulfilling each request. The ideal candidate is organized, detailed, with a passion for patient care and medical technology services. This role requires strong communication, empathy, and professionalism.

Must haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in a patient-centered call center
  • Strong communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written customer service in a medical field, or a medical technical support role
  • Ability to work onsite in Golden Valley, MN 5x a week during training period (6-8 weeks) and 3x a week post-training (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays)
  • Ability to work a 10am-7pm shift

Plusses:

  • Sleep study and sleep apnea background or knowledge.
  • Basic critical thinking/judgment and effective problem resolution.
  • Proficient with computers and common Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to understand basic device design information.
  • Basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of medical device industry.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, expert support as a Patient and Physician Services Specialist for patient, employees, and HCP inquiries.
  • Assess need, gather, and accurately analyze all pertinent information.
  • Prepare an accurate, understandable layperson communication.
  • Deliver response in a respectful manner to meet needs of request, demonstrating empathy, education, and empowerment
  • When applicable, provide prospective patients with Inspire product or service information.
  • Successfully manage conversations with frustrated or highly emotional patients.
  • Document interactions per regulation, policy, and department process.
  • Aware of HIPAA and privacy laws, Medicare policies and insurance guidelines.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure timely reporting of potential adverse events and product/therapy issues including corrective and/or preventive actions.
  • This role occasionally requires coverage for some Inspire company holidays.
