General Description:

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the Supply Management plans, policies, and procedures. The Material Coordinator is to work directly with the Operations Team and coordinate the organization's day-to-day procurement procedures, processes, and execution of procurement activities. Coordinate the control of inventory and materials needed for pick up or delivery to the project sites.

CCI Industrial Services provides quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies in Alaska and the lower 48 states.   • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending meetings.

  • Initiate problem solving when faced with logistical challenges.
  • Communicate daily status of current projects support to your supervisor to ensure all materials for projects are on schedule for the on-time delivery date for the execution of said projects.
  • Maintain 100% "Safety Standards and Accountability" in all areas or mandatory/regulatory
  • Interacts directly with the Superintendents and Supervisors, to ensure that objectives are achieved, potential problems identified, and corrective actions are completed.
  • Maintain compliance with the required HSE training.
  • Serve as a representative of the company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be deemed unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly.
  • Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, work safely and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to safety
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, training, and exercises.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, remote locations.
  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and be willing to participate in the solution process
  • Proficiently maintain shipping and receiving records, purchases, material cost, must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Intacct programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent people skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 5 years' experience as a materials coordinator or procurement in the Oil & Gas Industry is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a high degree of proficiency in Excel
  • Current NSTC card
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A 2 or 4 degree in a related field and two years' combined experience in the Supply Management field, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • 2 years' experience in Logistic Management
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.
  • CDL License is preferred.
  • 24 hr. Hazwoper Certificate
Work Environment:

  • The position is on-call 24 hours/day while on shift. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet demands of the job. Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives.
  • Position may be exposed to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the construction site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
  • Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
