JOB SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in marketing, communication, and donor engagement. Performs varied high-level administrative duties. Provides daily leadership and direction to communication and design staff to ensure the ADRC Marketing and Communication plans are of high quality and produce outcomes. Takes a leadership role in administrative projects, building teams and moving projects toward desired outcomes.
Essential Duties

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and Communication and Donor Engagement
Plans, develops, and coordinates agency communication strategy related to marketing, communication, and donor engagement.
Oversees and supports the ADRC Fund Development plan, activities, grant development and donor engagement opportunities.
Serves as a contact for media inquiries and requests for information.
Develops and oversees all project workflows, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards for our marketing, publicity, social media, and email campaigns.
Responsible for the creation of marketing materials, such as press releases, social media posts, and website content for clients and company.
Monitors and analyze performance data, making recommendations for improvements as needed. Works collaboratively with the finance department to prepare annual communication and marketing budget.
Provides support, guidance project management for the ADRC communication needs.

Volunteer Support
Oversees the identification of volunteer needs and match applicants to meet those needs across ADRC programs.
Provides a liaison between ADRC units and volunteers, referring volunteers for further interviewing and exploration of gifts and talents.
Assures consistent and efficient recruitment and administrative processing of volunteers.
Assures ADRC volunteers are provided general agency training and orientation preparing them to receive program training in the unit(s) they are matched with.

General
Attends and participates in staff development programs, including in-service training and staff meetings.
Complies with applicable federal and state laws, administrative rules, established agency procedures and accepted professional standards.
Participates in the work setting as a team player.
Advocates for issues that impact seniors and/or adults with disabilities; represents their concerns within the community; informs customers of programs and legislative issues that affect them.
Has a "Duty to Report" during a community emergency/disaster according to the ADRC Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Adheres to privacy and confidentiality policies regarding customer and/or personnel information.
Performs other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business management/communications/journalism/marketing program or a related field and a minimum of five years progressively responsible work with supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State of Wisconsin driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
AED/CPR Certification

Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance Methods and practices.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Suite applications and ability to learn other software utilized by the ADRC.
Knowledge of social media outlets and professional use of such tools.
Knowledge of ADRC policies, laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the position.
Ability to interpret rules and regulations regarding fiscal reporting requirements.
Ability to plan, organize, schedule and prioritize work to ensure timely completion.
Ability to understand and practice the confidential nature of the position.
Ability to proficiently use a computer and related office equipment at a speed and accuracy rate that meets workload demands.
Ability to maintain complex records and files.
Ability to complete arithmetic calculations.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with staff and the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Extended periods of sitting; intermittent standing, walking and driving.
Using hand(s) for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, and operating controls.
Occasional bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, reaching and grappling.
Communicating orally in a clear manner.
Distinguishing sounds at various frequencies and volumes.
Distinguishing people, objects or injuries at varied distances under a variety of light conditions.

Zero (0) days vacation earned during the first six months of service (initial employment period)
Pro-rated up to Five (5) days vacation during the second six months employment
Ten (10) days vacation earned during the 2nd year of service
Eleven (11) days vacation earned during the 3rd year of service
Twelve (12) days vacation earned during the 4th year of service
Thirteen (13) days vacation earned during the 5th year of service
Fifteen (15) days vacation earned during the 6th year of service
Eighteen (18) days vacation earned during the 10th year of service
Twenty (20) days vacation earned during the 11th year of service
Twenty-Five (25) days vacation earned during the 17th year of service

Retirement Benefit
  • ADRC contributes 8% of compensation into a 403(b)-thrift plan retirement program administered by Mutual of America after 1 year and 1000 hours worked, with a generous vesting schedule.
  • Employees who work at or above 20 hours per week are eligible to contribute toward their own retirement plan thru payroll deduction. Employee contributions can be made as pre-tax "Tax Deferred Annuity" and/or after-tax "Roth IRA" also administered by Mutual of America.
