Corporate Home Office Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview We are adding a Project Supplier Quality Lead (or Manager, depending on experience) to our Kiewit Supply Network in our Lenexa Kansas office. In this role you may support projects in any of our 8 market areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers continue to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduce variation and waste, develop continuous improvements to meet quality standards, minimize quality costs, and ensure codes/standards and client requirements are met to maximize constructability at a job site. You will be the key point of contact for suppliers with regard to product quality, for your projects, and will be the liaison with supplier fabrication sites, project teams, engineering, procurement teams. If you have a strong background with these functions in construction or for heavy equipment manufacturing, or have worked as a Field Engineer or Superintendent reviewing contracts and building complex projects, we would love to talk with you Kiewit is one of North America's largest and most respected construction and engineering organizations. District Overview Kiewit Supply Network group specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building; and mining. Our key objectives are to offer clients a world-class service focused on ensuring equipment, materials and services are consistently estimated and procured at the right price. Location This position will sit at the District Home Office in

Lenexa, KS. We do offer relocation assistance. Responsibilities Create and manage a project specific supplier quality plan for assigned projects Review and approve project specific supplier quality and manufacturing documents including Quality plans, Inspection and test plans (ITP), Weld Procedure specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ), Material Test Reports (MTR)s) MTRs, coating procedures etc. against codes, standards, and technical specifications for applicable equipment used in construction. Review and approval of supplier manufacturing records Review and approve Supplier deviation requests / disposition technical queries related to Quality Preparation of Project Specific Documents such as Project Quality Master Inspection Test Plans, estimates, forecasts, checklists, etc. Coordinate with Supplier, Customer & TPI for witness and hold inspection points per project ITPs Act as the lead supplier quality representative on assigned projects and be the supplier quality liaison with the client and the project management team. Inspect or support assigned inspectors to ensure pressure vessels, equipment, piping, structural fabrications, and equipment are to code and project requirements Manage assigned budget, inspectors, engineers, coordinator’s and 3rd party resources. Maintain an accurate forecast. Ensure Client Quality requirements are met as set forth in Client Specifications Educate project management, engineering, and construction teams on the supplier quality program. Interface with Clients, Project Management and other teams as needed. Track, manage and resolve supplier nonconformities & quality issues. Ensure alignment of inspection and expediting activities. Undertake training and maintain certifications as required. Travel as required to project sites, Kiewit sites, and supplier locations. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar technical discipline AND 5+ years of related Supplier Quality experience, performing functions as outlined above, or Associates Degree AND 10 years of related SQM experience. Will also consider Field Engineers or Superintendents with a strong background in EPC construction Must have experience reviewing Inspection and Test Plans from suppliers to ensure those comply with the terms of the contract. Working knowledge/understanding of NDE, welding, ASME codes and coatings for engineered equipment (heavy manufacturing equipment, piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, for example) through construction or manufacturing Experience in one or more of the following is required: construction of oil/gas/chemical, power generation, water/wastewater processing, or industrial facilities, or heavy manufacturing performing Supplier Quality functions for machined, welded and assembled heavy equipment Ability to review project and customer technical specifications and incorporate the requirements into Project Quality Plans and ITP’s Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings for pressure vessels, piping, structural fabrications, etc. Working knowledge of industry standards such as NACE, ASME, AWS, ISO etc. Knowledge of the design and fabrication requirements of equipment used in power and oil & gas industry highly desired Must be able to communicate in a professional manner Able to travel up to 25% of the time around North America Desired skills Quality Auditing ISO 9001:2015 experience CWI, CSWIP, NACE CIP Level 2 or similar certification Other Requirements: Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
