Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSupplier Quality Specialist
1st shift offers four work schedules with flexible start/end times. Work 8-hour days five days a week, 10-hour days four days a week (Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday), or 9-hour days four days a week and a half-day on Friday.

  • Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure supplier compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct assessments and audits on new and existing suppliers to evaluate their quality management system, manufacturing processes, product quality, and approval status.
  • Provide technical support to ensure supplier captures and understands all PO flow down requirements at the time of PO receipt.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to pre-plan first article inspection activity and provide surveillance as necessary to ensure compliance with PO requirements.
  • Conduct source inspection activities to verify compliance of supplied parts and materials with engineering specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement root cause corrective action plans to identify the source of quality issues and address non-conformities to prevent recurrence.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for suppliers to drive improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned
  • Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer's Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conform to Seyer Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
